Hi, I am Christelle - originally from Mauritius and proudly calling Australia home for over a decade and now wholeheartedly serving Baldivis and surrounds as a certified postpartum doula. I previously worked in clinical trials and research sector. It was my way of contributing and indirectly helping those who needed it. I am also fluent in French and happy to support families in either English or French, depending on what feels most comfortable (Je parle également Français et je suis heureuse d’offrir un accompagnement en Français si cela vous met plus à l’aise).

While pregnant with my first child, I became obsessed with everything pregnancy, baby and motherhood. I needed to educate myself and research everything that I came across. After giving birth, I realised that new mums and parents are not supported enough.

Stepping into motherhood is a significant rite of passage and mothers should be celebrated and empowered. No one should be left alone with a million questions swirling in their head. I became a postpartum education and care professional for that exact reason: to acknowledge what you are navigating and offer grounded, practical and nurturing postpartum care.

I created Cared and Nurtured to offer the kind of deep, intuitive, whole-person care that I once longed for myself. This work is my heart and it is my honour to hold space for you through every layer of this journey.

Every parent should experience those blissful days and weeks with their newborn and truly get to know each other, without worrying about anything else. I say parents because I know that partners are also going through a major life change and should also feel supported, equipped and included.
My goal is to meet you and your family where you are and tailor my support to your needs. I understand that every family is unique and you might need me for the first six or twelve weeks or after 8 months. I aim to provide help and support at any stage during the first two years of your baby’s life. I believe that parenthood is a marathon, every part of the journey matters and having someone by your side can shape your emotional wellbeing and your experience as a whole.
