Your journey is unlike anyone else’s.
Some days you are steady. Some days you are lost.
Sometimes words cannot describe what you are feeling.
Wherever you are, I will walk beside you.
Hi, I am Christelle!
I created Cared and Nurtured to offer the kind of deep, intuitive, whole-person care that I once longed for myself. For the past two years, I have had the privilege of supporting families across Perth as a certified postpartum doula.
While pregnant with my first child, I became fascinated by everything about pregnancy, babies and motherhood. I wanted to learn as much as I could, researching and educating myself about every aspect of this new chapter.
Early in motherhood, I realised just how little support new mums and parents often receive. Stepping into motherhood is a significant rite of passage and I believe mothers deserve to be celebrated, supported and empowered. No one should be left alone with a million questions swirling around in their head.
I became a postpartum doula for that exact reason: I wanted to offer the kind of care that acknowledges everything you are navigating while offering grounded, practical and nurturing postpartum care.
Every parent should experience those blissful days and weeks with their newborn and truly get to know one another, without worrying about anything else. Having the right people by your side can make all the difference, shaping not only your postpartum experience but also your emotional wellbeing during this transformative time.
While I continue to support new mums and their families during this sacred window, I have also stepped into a new chapter of my work. It is something that has been calling me for years and I finally feel ready to offer it to women who are ready to step into their own remembrance and come home to themselves.
Even years into motherhood, many women continue to struggle with their sense of identity and connection to who they are beyond being a mother. While supporting new mums as a postpartum doula has been incredibly rewarding, I began to realise that my work was reaching only a small part of a woman's journey. Women need support, reconnection and a sense of self at every stage of life, not just in the early months and years of motherhood.
And so, this is where I find myself now: supporting women to come home to themselves, reconnect with who they truly are and reignite their inner light. Because when a woman shines, everyone around her feels the warmth of that light.
